The first rubber-tyred LRT in Ile de France was inaugurated on 31 August 2013.  Line T5 links the towns of Saint-Denis and Garges-Sarcelles.

ETF has produced the guidance system incorporated into the infrastructures on the 15 km of track planned in the project. This new LRT has the special characteristic of being a rubber-tyred tramway with a central rail for guidance (NTL, previously Lohr, system). The construction of this tramway line offers a new, effective transport solution to 86,000 inhabitants and employees located at less than 400 m from the 16 stations. Studies forecast traffic of about 30,000 passengers a day on the line linking the towns of Saint-Denis, Pierrefitte-sur-Seine, Sarcelles, and Garges-lès-Gonesse.

Strengthened by this success, a second rubber-tyred tramway will be put into service in Paris at the end of 2014. ETF is currently building the 28 km of track which will link Châtillon and Viroflay.
