It is a major project for the network, divided into ten sub-projects. The objective is to ensure the infrastructure&#8217;s sustainability for the next 20 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project is being carried out by a consortium: ETF as the lead contractor, working in synergy with Ter\u00e9lian (co-contractor) and with the participation of BTPS and Unifer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Work carried out by ETF:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Preparation phase: detailed design, platform development, setting up of the site facilities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Start of main works: December 2024, with closure of the line and unloading of the long welded rails (LRS).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Current progress: 80% of track laid.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>10 km of RVB (ballast renewal) with platform renewal<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>11 km of RB (ballast renewal only) with platform renewal<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Work carried out by Ter\u00e9lian:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>35 km of ditch cleaning<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>8 km of gutter installation for water drainage<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>48 km of waterproof cord removal<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 waterproofing on engineering structure<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<div class=\"oembed\">\n\t<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Modernisation ferroviaire r\u00e9gionale Projet PDIFer : ligne Poitiers \u2013 Limoges\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/cdwy9IX53bI?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n\n<\/div><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Social and environmental commitment<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Social integration is a key component of this project. Of the 4,500 hours of integration initially planned, <strong>5,000 hours have already been completed<\/strong> with staff from the local area. This approach promotes professional reintegration while contributing to local revitalisation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, two people from the ESAT (an organisation that helps people with disabilities find work) are responsible for maintaining the site, further promoting social inclusion on the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Safety and quality on site<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To date, there have been no accidents at work. This performance illustrates the strong commitment of all teams to complying with the golden rules of safety.
