This project enabled the modernisation of this section of the network, which is used by nearly 360 trams during the week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To ensure the long-term reliability and performance of Line 3, a major programme of works has been carried out, including several technical interventions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>725 metres of railway platform renovated<\/strong> and <strong>3,000 metres of track replaced<\/strong> to ensure a more reliable and sustainable infrastructure.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The installation of the new Nantes track,<\/strong> a track system specifically designed for Nantes-type trams, improving ride quality and laying precision.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>7,300 m\u00b2 of surface coverings redone<\/strong>, including <strong>2,600 m\u00b2 planted<\/strong>, to improve landscape integration and promote rainwater absorption.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Installation of floating slab areas with anti-vibration mats<\/strong> to reduce noise and vibration nuisance for local residents.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>High-precision work<\/strong>: demolition, laying of tracks using panels, and transport of components by special convoys, optimising deadlines and logistics.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>A &#8216;strike operation\u2019<\/strong> project carried out without rail traffic for <strong>two months<\/strong> (from <strong>week 7 to week 17<\/strong>), concentrating work to minimise the impact on users.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of this project, an innovation was implemented for the first time: the use of <strong>sleepers equipped with lifting rods<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This device allows for <strong>precise adjustment of track asymmetry<\/strong>, saving time during installation and improving the quality of the setting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thanks to the mobilisation of all the teams on site, the objectives were achieved, meeting the expectations of the manager and the needs of users: a return to the initial speed of 30 km\/h, improved comfort, safety and performance of the network.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udcf7 <em>\u00a9 Georges LEMARIE<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>To maintain the efficiency of its tram network and ensure the safety of its infrastructure and equipment, SEMITAN (the public transport operator for the Nantes metropolitan area) is planning major renovation, development and safety improvement works.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":239,"featured_media":11386481,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[228,199,191],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-12088384","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-rail-mobility","category-agence-atlantique-en","category-actualites-en"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.1.1 -
