In particular, CTS has imposed the preservation of trees along the entire route and, for the first time, the implementation of enhanced carbon consumption monitoring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This obligation translates into regular reporting, enabling the identification of the main sources of emissions, the implementation of corrective actions during construction and the creation of a reliable database to optimise future rail projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Concrete actions to reduce the carbon footprint<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Supply has favoured <strong>short supply chains<\/strong>, with rails produced locally just 150 km from the construction site, as well as the use of <strong>lighter sleepers<\/strong> to limit the weight transported and reduce energy consumption.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the same time, the gradual transition to <strong>electric tools<\/strong> marks a key step towards a low-carbon construction site. This change has two benefits: a significant reduction in CO\u2082 emissions and a reduction in noise pollution in urban areas, improving both the comfort of local residents and the working conditions of the teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">VINCI environmental label obtained<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Thanks to the solutions implemented and the commitment of the teams, this site has been awarded the VINCI environmental label.
