In Melun, the SNCF substation needs to be made more reliable, resized and refurbished due to the age of the equipment, which requires frequent maintenance cycles. The arrival of the RER NG also requires the catenary system to be reinforced on certain sections of the network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prior to the construction work, our teams at the Logistics and Catenary Assembly Platform (PLAC) in Montereau prepared the beams for the future Melun substation. This workshop work optimises the time spent on site: once there, the teams only have to install the beams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once assembled, these beams were installed above the tracks to support the cable trays supplying power between the substation and the tracks, as well as the Melun bundles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The delivery of the beams was followed by an exceptional lifting operation on the night of 13 January.
