They visited the future Infrastructure Maintenance Site (SMI) for line 15.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the visit, the students were able to discover what goes on behind the scenes at a railway construction site:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>the role of a maintenance centre<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the different types of railway tracks and their composition<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the different stages of construction,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the safety rules to ensure the safety of all parties involved<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the logistics between the different trades<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>It was also an opportunity for them to talk to operational staff to gain a better understanding of their jobs. As part of their course, ETF&#8217;s equipment manager for major urban projects presented the different types of machinery used in railway works and their specific features.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>It was a particularly enriching half-day of sharing and discovery.
