To meet the two-month deadline set by the client, the ETF G\u00e9nie Civil teams worked day and night, in two shifts with several teams working together. At the peak of activity, up to 30 operational staff were present on the site at the same time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Three phases of work<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Phase 1: <\/strong>Earthworks on the existing culverts over 1,000 metres, then installation of drainage and water supply systems.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Phase 2:<\/strong> Creation of the access track with the installation of kerbs over 3,500 ml, followed by the construction of the tracks. Two tracks were made of asphalt to facilitate access for future operators and two tracks were made of sand as they are less used.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Phase 3: <\/strong>Installation of gangways and grating platforms at the train opening areas.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to this work, 3,000 tonnes of inert materials were transported to an ISDI, a facility classified for environmental protection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Logistics and preparation, keys to success<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The track bundle on which the work took place had no road access. Only one area, at the end of the bundle, allowed for the delivery and removal of all the machinery and materials, creating a significant congestion zone. Significant preparatory work was carried out to anticipate the logistics required to keep the site running continuously despite the limited access. Although reduced, activity at the rear base continued throughout the works, requiring part of the tracks to be returned between 6pm and 10pm each day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In what was a real race against time, the success of this project and the mobilisation of the teams were praised by<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sncf-reseau.com\/fr\"> SNCF R\u00e9seau<\/a>. It was a real success for the agency, which subcontracted <a href=\"https:\/\/www.feroway.com\/\">Feroway<\/a> for rail safety and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eurovia.fr\/agences\/4638-cochery-ile-de-france-pierrelaye\">Cochery<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.essor-tp.fr\/a-propos\/nous-connaitre\">ESSOR<\/a> (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.vinci-construction.fr\/\">VINCI Construction<\/a>).
