The ETF teams were on hand to carry out this work, which was necessary to ensure the long-term future of this historic line (1876).<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>A major operation carried out in synergy<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The ETF Sud-Est teams, in synergy with the ETF Luxembourg teams, worked during August 2021 to renew 76 metres of rails (for each track) between the \u2018Eug\u00e8ne Pierre\u2019 and \u2018Noailles\u2019 stations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As this section of track is located on a curve, a long period of preparation was first necessary. This allowed topographical surveys to be carried out, which in turn enabled the track layout and rail bending plans to be drawn up. The bending was then carried out at an ETF Luxembourg factory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the actual work, the ETF teams took turns:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>During the day and part of the night, around ten operational staff from the South-East branch carried out the rail replacement work<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>At night, two operational staff from the Luxembourg branch carried out the electric welding.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Strong local roots<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The R\u00e9gie des Transports M\u00e9tropolitains (RTM) has been calling on ETF for more than 10 years to carry out preventive and corrective work on its network, which consists of three tram lines and two metro lines. Throughout the year, teams from the South-East branch are mobilised according to the network&#8217;s needs to ensure urban mobility for the people of Marseille.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>La ovation on the T1 tram line at the Noailles tunnel in the heart of Marseille.
