Three times a week, convoys carrying 1,000 tonnes of aggregates leave the quarry for the SNME asphalt plant in Tourville-la-Rivi\u00e8re (76). In total, these journeys, organised by ETF Services, represent the equivalent of more than 5,000 lorries avoided each year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2018This is not insignificant,\u2019 emphasises Tristan Collin, Director of Materials at Carri\u00e8res de l&#8217;Orne. \u2018Rail allows us to transport more, further, with less impact.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>VINCI Construction synergies serving local communities<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In Chaillou\u00e9, Thouars-La Gouraudi\u00e8re (79) and Saint-Varent (79), historic quarries are returning to their railway roots. In Saint-Varent, ETF has rehabilitated the line to Parthenay (79), giving Carri\u00e8res Roy an advantage in serving the south-west. \u2018At equivalent prices, customers no longer hesitate,\u2019 confirms Francois-R\u00e9gis Mercier, director of Carri\u00e8res Roy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Together, they reactivate lines, mobilise specialist teams and coordinate interfaces with SNCF R\u00e9seau to keep traffic flowing smoothly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Trains as a lever for decarbonisation<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Rail freight, which had been in decline for a long time, is now enjoying a resurgence. Less energy-intensive and less polluting, it helps to relieve congestion on the roads while increasing the volumes transported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ETF is not limited to VINCI Group sites. Drawing on its expertise, the company also offers this service to external partners seeking to optimise their logistics while reducing their carbon footprint. A tailor-made offering that can be adapted to the needs of manufacturers, local authorities and infrastructure managers.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow
