{"id":13777050,"date":"2025-12-08T08:00:00","date_gmt":"2025-12-08T07:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.etf.fr\/uncategorized\/massy-valenton-ouest-les-equipes-catenaires-detf-au-coeur-de-ce-projet\/"},"modified":"2026-01-05T08:59:06","modified_gmt":"2026-01-05T07:59:06","slug":"massy-valenton-ouest-les-equipes-catenaires-detf-au-coeur-de-ce-projet","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.etf.fr\/en\/rail-mobility\/massy-valenton-ouest-les-equipes-catenaires-detf-au-coeur-de-ce-projet\/","title":{"rendered":"Massy\u2013Valenton West: removal and replacement of overhead lines"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:33.33%\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A diversion to accommodate the future high-speed rail line<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Between Les Baconnets and Massy-Verri\u00e8res stations, ETF&#8217;s catenary teams carried out the shifting of 1.5 km of RER B catenary lines, consisting of the complete removal and reinstallation of these facilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This work freed up the space needed for the future high-speed rail link.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is a crucial investment to strengthen the network&#8217;s capacity and anticipate the mobility needs of more than one million daily users.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A technical challenge completed in just nine days<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The catenary work was carried out during a nine-day complete suspension of traffic, mobilising up to 18 teams per day working in three continuous shifts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The precision, coordination and rigour required for this operation highlighted the expertise of our catenary teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">An exemplary collaboration by VINCI Construction<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>As the consortium leader, ETF mobilised its track and catenary experts and worked alongside:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Sogea Environnement, responsible for the catenary supports and platform,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Botte Fondations and Eurovia, mobilised for the deep foundations and waterproofing of the rail bridge.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:28px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-content-justification-center is-layout-flex wp-container-core-buttons-is-layout-28206b41 wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link has-white-color has-text-color has-background has-link-color has-text-align-center has-custom-font-size wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=LCxBOgBEEAE\" style=\"border-radius:18px;background-color:#004488;font-size:15px\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Discover the construction site in video<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The work was completed on schedule, allowing commercial traffic to resume on 28 August. The Massy sector is now ready to welcome the second TGV line, which will permanently transform rail operations between Paris and south-western France when it enters service.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div
