{"id":1579,"date":"2018-11-05T11:04:42","date_gmt":"2018-11-05T10:04:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/etf.fr\/?p=1579"},"modified":"2021-07-29T14:17:58","modified_gmt":"2021-07-29T12:17:58","slug":"metro-santiago","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.etf.fr\/en\/international-en\/metro-santiago\/","title":{"rendered":"The Santiago, Chile metro continues its expansion with ETF"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span face=\"Calibri\">OFC, the Chilean subsidiary of ETF\/COLAS RAIL, won the contract to build an extension and new depot on line 2 of the Santiago Metro on July 25, 2018.<\/span><\/p><p><span face=\"Calibri\">This contract, valued at \u20ac36 million over the next three years, encompasses the supply and installation of 13 km of single-track equivalent with a pneumatic system:<\/span><\/p><p><span face=\"Calibri\">The first three kilometers and 14 switches will be finished in 2019 in the new depot of Vespucio Norte.<\/span><\/p><p><span face=\"Calibri\">The remaining 10 kilometers will be completed in 2021 as part of a 5 km southward extension of line 2 (subject to government approval).<\/span><\/p><p><span face=\"Calibri\">This contract strengthens the dominant position of the ETF\/Colas Rail consortium and their joint Chilean subsidiary \u201cOFC\u201d within the Santiago Metro. In addition to being tasked with maintaining the entire network (140 km of track), the consortium will build the 4km extension of the future line 3 in
