The works took place at night, from 17 to 29 April 2026, in order to minimise the impact on traffic on the RER A line, which is used by 1.14 million people every day. The aim for our teams was to permanently stabilise the track, which had been weakened by its age and various weather events in recent years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The ETF teams then carried out platform refurbishment work and replaced 400 metres of ballasted track (RVB).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u00a0To carry out this work, the ETF teams used the PUSCAL train for the first time on the RATP network. This train enables the standardisation of platform and ballast track renewal (RVB) works in densely populated areas. Its use made it possible, in a single night\u2019s work, to complete up to 36 metres of RVB work, including platform drainage, and 72 metres of standard RVB work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Teams from Agence \u00cele-de-France carried out the preparatory work, which included laying geotextile for earthworks, securing the site, and carrying out reinforcement and finishing works. ETF\u2019s Major Rail Projects division carried out the main works (RVB and platform drainage).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
ETF Services was responsible for train operations and the provision of lorry crew. ETF Cat\u00e9naire was responsible for raising and adjusting the catenary after the train had passed. This latter task marks a first for the RATP, which has chosen to place its trust in ETF\u2019s teams and to outsource this task.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
