Lieblos: a major project for AGT<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

One of the flagship projects of this new strategy is the ESTW Lieblos worksite, currently AGT’s largest project, with sales of \u20ac6.972m. The works will run from April to October 2024 and will employ between 8 and 15 people, with a peak of 20 people expected to support the increased activity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AGT is building GRP and concrete cable trays along the line between Glauburg-Stockheim and Gelnshausen, including occasional track crossings. Two level crossings, at Mittel-Gr\u00fcndau and Gr\u00fcndau Lieblos, are being converted. In addition, an electronic control station (ESTW) will be installed at Lieblos station.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This project presents a number of challenges, not least because of the areas that were bombed during the Second World War. A preparatory sounding phase to detect any munitions is therefore essential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Progress of the works<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Work has already progressed well, with 1.2 km of raised GRP and precast concrete cable trays laid on the ground. Teams are currently working under rail traffic, with two trains per hour travelling at 80 km\/h. Rigorous safety measures are in place, including physical segregation and alarms, to ensure safe operations and control the risk of rail collisions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From 12 July, the project will reach peak production, resulting in the closure of the track.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through this project, AGT is demonstrating its commitment to meeting complex challenges, as part of an ambitious strategy of diversification and growth in the German rail market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
