As part of the preparatory work for the future Bry-Villiers-Champigny (BVC) railway station, ETF teams have carried out a series of operations to reroute the signalling, telecom and energy networks. This work, which began in August 2022, is part of the project to extend the RER E line, which involves adding a third track between Villiers-sur-Marne and Emerainville – Pontault-Combault (77), with service scheduled to begin in 2030.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The station project, which will see the light of day in 2027, is a key element in the development of Greater Paris. This multimodal hub will boost transport capacity in eastern Paris and improve traffic flow on the RER E. ETF has been involved in the first phase of the project, dismantling the networks on the site of the future third track.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Throughout the project, ETF carried out five major operations, mobilising a dozen employees on each occasion. These operations, as well as night-time interventions, enabled the laying of ducts under the existing tracks, guaranteeing the smooth running of future stages. Each night, the teams had to work to tight deadlines to allow traffic to resume during the day, thereby minimising the impact on passengers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
