Bordeaux M\u00e9tropole has renewed its confidence in ETF, which has just won the contract to extend line A of the tramway.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 5 km long extension includes the creation of 5 new stations from \u201cQuatre Chemins\u201d to M\u00e9rignac airport. The tramway will run on a single track with a double track at each station. This will involve the installation of switches on both sides of each new station, ten in total.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An engineering structure will also be built to enable the tramway to cross the ring road.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"870\" height=\"500\" src=\"https:\/\/www.etf.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Trace-Tram-A-Actualite.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-20344\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.etf.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Trace-Tram-A-Actualite.jpg 870w, https:\/\/www.etf.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Trace-Tram-A-Actualite-250x144.jpg 250w, https:\/\/www.etf.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Trace-Tram-A-Actualite-687x395.jpg 687w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 870px) 100vw, 870px\" \/><figcaption>@BordeauxM\u00e9trople<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p>Work on the track is currently being prepared and should begin in March 2021. To carry out this project, the major projects teams of ETF (lead contractor) are in a consortium with Eurovia and ETF Cat\u00e9naires.
