CSR initiatives carried out by OFC for the benefit of the Ciudad de Lyon school in Chile

As a company committed to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), we have recently undertaken initiatives on climate issues to raise awareness among teachers, students and school staff at the Ciudad de Lyon school in Chile.

Climate change awareness

On 1 September, a lively debate was organised specifically for school environmental leaders. These individuals play a vital role in educating their colleagues, friends and families about the global climate crisis. The aim of the debate was to provide them with practical tools to promote activities that benefit the environment. By focusing on education and awareness, we hope to develop a common understanding and encourage concrete action for the good of our planet.

Repair of the school playground by our staff

Alongside educational initiatives, our team got involved in making real improvements to the school’s outdoor spaces. The main playground, which was in a pretty rough state, was cleaned up, painted and repaired by our organisation’s staff. The aim was to give the students a safer environment that’s better suited to their daily activities.

Activities carried out by school pupils

To maximise the impact of this initiative, students were invited to actively participate by creating inspiring and informative drawings focused on climate change. These creations served as a fun way to convey important messages about environmental protection.

In addition, workshops such as ‘Forest Heroes’ were organised, teaching students about food conservation techniques and how to preserve our forests. The ‘Recycling Heroes’ workshop also captured the students’ attention by focusing on separating different types of waste and the importance of sorting. Finally, an outdoor workshop allowed students to identify the plants found in their school.

We would like to thank everyone who contributed to the success of this initiative.
