Best practices – Daily warm-up session before starting work
With the aim of preventing musculoskeletal disorders, a new practice has just been introduced at ETF: a daily warm-up session before starting each day’s work on site.
After the first five minutes of safety briefing, employees gather for a five- to ten-minute warm-up session. This initiative came from a site manager working on the construction of the new tramway in Nice. In order to make this warm-up as effective as possible, a coach studied the posture and movements of the workers on the construction sites.
In addition to its preventive purpose, this practice helps to create a friendly atmosphere, a better working environment and a real team spirit. After a few weeks of testing, there was a noticeable decrease in the number of accidents, teams were more focused and new employees were better integrated. Thanks to its success and effectiveness, this practice will now be extended to the entire ETF.
