ETF Polska successfully completes work on line 277 in Poland
ETF Polska has just successfully completed its design and construction work on line 277, linking Jelcz Laskowice to Breslau Brockau in Poland.
Teams from our Polish subsidiary have been working on line 277 for PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe, the Polish rail network operator. Carried out jointly with Nowak Mosty, for the civil engineering part, this worksite is part of a project aimed at improving safety and eliminating threats to the rail network in the Silesia region.
ETF Polska was responsible for the rail infrastructure part of the project: track, catenary, power and signalling works. For the track works, our teams laid 2.6 km of track and 6 switches, and renewed 2.8 km of track. This represents :
- 285 tonnes of rail
- 2,000 monobloc concrete sleepers
- 12 tonnes of ballast
It should also be noted that this work is being carried out in a Natura 2000 protection zone. This zone aims to protect a number of habitats and species that are representative of European biodiversity. This project demonstrates ETF’s commitment to the development of rail mobility and respect for the environment.

Last November, ETF Polska had the honour of taking part in the official ceremony to inaugurate the commemorative panel dedicated to Catherine of Alexandria, patron saint of railway workers and protector of passengers.
We would like to thank our employees in Poland for their involvement and contribution to the success of this project.
