Official launch of the project to transfer rail activities to Nantes Blottereau!

The ETF (agent)/UNIFER consortium is carrying out the AT01 contract for SNCF Réseau for the project to transfer rail activities from Nantes-Etat to Nantes-Blottereau. This includes laying all the new track and connecting it to the existing network.

Official launch with an initial intensive weekend

On 9, 10 and 11 November, 30 of our employees were mobilised for a 40-hour intensive operation.

During the weekend, the teams carried out:

• The removal and replacement of 100 metres of track on a structure
• The construction of a 70-metre underpass
• The installation of a set of points

The work was carried out safely thanks to the intervention of ETF Services teams: ground staff, train attendants, and autonomous driving services.

This blitz operation is the first in a series of four. There will be three more between now and 2022, at a rate of one per year.

Equipment used: 2 V212 locomotives, 1 108-275 tamping machine, 15 R90 wagons, 4 ballast spreaders, 6 sets of PEM/LEM

The next stage of the project

The most important phase of the project will begin in April 2020 with the laying of 20 km of track and 60 sets of points.
