When the rails send us into space!

Our teams have just finished maintaining 10 km of track at the Kourou International Space Centre, which is currently launching Ariane 5!

ETF and Ariane rockets have a long history together, dating back to the site’s creation in the 1980s. At that time, ETF built the entire rail system used to transport the rocket components. Since then, we have continued to maintain it twice a year, in March and October.

Our objective? We are involved in railway maintenance for our clients CNES and Ariane Espace via ENDEL Guyane and PEYRANI. These railways are strategic and connect the various rocket assembly centres to the launch pad.

To carry out this project, ETF has a base camp directly on site, where one or two employees are sent on assignment each year. We then call directly on local labour to carry out the work.
