Renovation of the 100% freight line between Sablé-sur-Sarthe and Château-Gontier-sur-Mayenne
ETF, working on behalf of its client SNCF Réseau, has begun renovating 30 kilometres of track, including no fewer than 30 level crossings.
This operation aims to sustain and develop rail freight transport in the Pays de la Loire region.
This eco-friendly project embodies our commitment to the environment: by integrating the fundamental principles of the material life cycle, we are minimising our environmental footprint. The material removed from other passenger lines is being reused under the careful supervision of an ecologist.
With the track supply and removal phases now complete, we are entering the crucial phase of track and level crossing replacement.
The next stages of the project will be:
- Tamping and lifting: December to March 2024
- Consolidation and finishing work: January to March 2024
