Major refurbishment of the Paris-Tolbiac railway line
ETF renewed 300 metres of ballasted track (RVB) and replaced a set of points (RAV) on line no. 570000 Paris-Tolbiac, specifically at the Tolbiac junction in Ivry-sur-Seine.
This line is crucial for freight transport, particularly for one of the Parisian cement factories that supplies its customers 24 hours a day.
This regeneration project, entrusted to us by our client, SNCF Réseau Infrapôle Paris Sud-Ouest, was a daily logistical and organisational challenge. For four weeks, every evening, the ETF teams worked in an agile and flexible manner to complete this project, adapting their work to the constraints of the terrain, which were sometimes highly unexpected.
To carry out these complex operations, the ETF teams worked with unrivalled expertise, using a wide range of specialised equipment, including:
- Two RR (rail-road) excavators
- A work train
- A Mecalac
- A tamping machine
- PEMLEMs (extendable handling gantries – motorised lorry lifts)
A big thank you to the teams at the Centre branch and its partners for their unfailing commitment to this project.
