Inauguration of work on the western extension of Strasbourg’s tram line F
Monday 26 August marks a turning point for mobility in Strasbourg with the inauguration of work on the western extension of tram line F. The event was celebrated in the presence of the Compagnie des Transports Strasbourgeois, local elected officials, the president of the Eurométropole de Strasbourg, and teams and representatives from ETF.
By the end of 2025, this 4 km extension will connect Eckbolsheim and Wolfisheim to the heart of Strasbourg, improving mobility for more than 20,300 residents. It will also facilitate access to the Poteries hub thanks to a direct connection to line D.
This major project draws on our dual expertise in tracks and catenary systems. Our teams are committed to 10 months of intensive work on the track, followed by the installation of the LAC from November onwards. In total, more than 50 employees will be mobilised on site and in the design offices.
ETF is committed to supporting the extension of the Strasbourg tram network by offering more sustainable and efficient transport solutions.
