ETF recently successfully completed a major operation to replace industrialised switchgear on the Paris-Lille line for its customer SNCF Réseau. A technical challenge successfully met thanks to the commitment and expertise of our teams.
These switches and crossings, each measuring almost 36 metres, are subjected to heavy daily use by passing trains, and need to be replaced every 40 years or so.
In order to keep disruption to a minimum and guarantee continuity of service for users, the work was carried out at the weekend. This optimised organisation meant that the work could be carried out without affecting weekday traffic.
For 38 consecutive hours, our teams worked tirelessly to bring this major operation to a successful conclusion. This performance once again illustrates our expertise and our commitment to modernising rail infrastructure.
