A busy weekend to renew a connection on line 9 of the Paris Metro
During the All Saints’ Day weekend, teams from ETF’s RATP sector mobilised to renew connection 617 located at Porte de Saint-Cloud.
To carry out this project, three teams of 12 employees worked in three shifts between the night of 31 October and the morning of 4 November 2019.
Throughout the duration of the work, passenger service was maintained to avoid any disruption to traffic on line 9. We therefore adapted by supplying the equipment in advance and outside of service hours. We also created an installation area isolated from the operational part of the station platform.
The work carried out on a single track required the decoupling of the work trains.
Throughout this project, the ETF teams demonstrated their know-how and expertise in order to meet the RATP’s expectations and return the track to service on time.
Equipment used:
- 2 mini-excavators that remain and operate from RATP wagons
- 1 crawler loader unloaded onto the track to remove the ballast and then reloaded at the end of the operation.
