ETF, MAINTENANCE OF THE GRENOBLOIS TRAMWAY TRACKS

Publié le 30 September 2021

For many years, the SMMAG (Syndicat Mixte des Mobilités de l’Aire Grenobloise)has been financing the Gros Entretien des Voies de Tramway (GEVT) project. These preventive and corrective works ensure the long-term viability of the Grenoble tramway, the second modern network to open in France in 1987. As part of the 2020/2021 contract, the project managers INGEROP (infrastructure) and Egis (railway works) called on Eurovia Alpes and ETF respectively to carry out the necessary work.

Voilà plus de 10 ans qu’ETF intervient rregularly on the Grenoble tramway system. In 2021, teams from the South East agency worked for six months. From March to August, they worked on six sections of lines A and B to:

  • Renew and reinforce 1,800 linear metres of track
  • Renew a set of points
  • Replace a switch box
  • Repair junctions.

Located in the very centre of Grenoble, this work was carried out outside operating hours during night shifts to limit the impact on passenger traffic.
