50 employees mobilised in Dinant (Belgium)

On the first weekend of May, a 46-hour blitz operation took place on the network of Infrabel, the Belgian railway infrastructure manager. Nearly fifty employees took turns over two days to complete this project.

In compliance with health and safety guidelines, teams from the ETF Luxembourg agency mobilised during this line closure to carry out various works:

  • Renewal of 100 metres of concrete track and ballast
  • Replacement of a concrete
  • Cleaning of 50 cm under sleepers
  • Removal of more than 100 m3 of rock
  • Completion of 30 aluminothermic welds

The Travaux Mécanisés agency also provided support and made four PEM/LEM machines available.

Even during a health crisis, ETF teams adapt and go above and beyond to meet their customers’ needs and ensure that railway infrastructure continues to operate!
