As part of the third edition of the Days for the Acceleration and Modernisation of Infrastructure (JAMI), Jean-Baptiste Djebbari, Minister Delegate for Transport, visited Chatenay Malabry on Friday 23 July 2021 to see the construction site for the T10 tramway.

Welcomed by the companies in charge of the project, Eurovia and ETF, the Minister was able to discover the Group’s many technical and environmental advances: circular economy (high recycling rates, recarbonation of demolition concrete), bio-based materials (vegetable binders), positive energy and pollution-reducing roads, low-carbon asphalt, smart signage, and more.

The ETF teams were able to showcase the diversity of engineering and technical expertise involved in railway construction. The Minister also visited the site to perform an aluminothermic welding operation with the help of our operational staff.

The main purpose of the visit was to demonstrate the importance of project owners in the innovation process of companies. Indeed, it is often when companies are challenged by their project owners that significant progress is made. Ambitious environmental and performance objectives then push companies to stand out.

The ETF/Eurovia consortium’s social commitment to integration and training was also highlighted. The Minister considered this project to be ‘useful for the region’.
