ETF Egypt and UFE sign partnership agreement to train tomorrow’s talent

Our Egyptian subsidiary recently signed a cooperation agreement with the French University in Egypt. This commitment marks a key step in our desire to support the professional development of young Egyptians through practical training tailored to the needs of the field, particularly in the railway industry.

Training rare profiles on the Egyptian market

The partnership provides for the establishment of discovery and end-of-study internships, offering students their first immersion in the railway sector. ETF Egypt also aims to introduce the work-study model, inspired by the French system, in order to offer students both theoretical and practical training.

Introducing students to the world of railways

Still relatively unknown in local academic curricula, the railway sector will be promoted through this programme. Our teams will work with students to present the professions in the sector and lead specialised modules. Particular attention will be paid to training a new generation of catenary engineers: a skill that is still rare in Egypt, but essential for the future development of the network.

A project that goes beyond the scope of construction sites

This agreement responds to a concrete need: to develop local skills and build a pool of qualified profiles, particularly for the positions of site managers and mechanics. Trained students will have job prospects at the end of their studies, with the possibility of progressing to middle management positions. ETF Egypt also wants to show that the railway industry is not limited to operational jobs: data, legal and project management offer just as many opportunities for young talent.

Beyond the technical aspect, this project reflects a broader social approach. By investing in the education, training and professional integration of young people, ETF Egypt is actively contributing to the development of local skills and the future of the railway sector in Egypt.
