106% of the linear achieved in 2019 by the Rapid Suite for Dense Areas
The modernisation and maintenance of railway infrastructure in the Île-de-France region is a daily challenge, or rather a nightly one. Launched in 2017, the TEVO and REVO factory trains are in daily operation on the Île-de-France network!
2019, let’s take stock
The efforts of the 264 ETF employees working on this Rapid Suite have paid off! A total of 106% of the linear distance was completed over the past year. This represents 85,132 linear metres, or 5,000 metres more than planned. The RER C and D lines and the H line have therefore been upgraded, mainly for the comfort of users.
Train regularity has improved significantly. The impact on traffic has decreased by 50% compared to 2018. From August onwards, the works went completely unnoticed by users.
Environmental issues were at the heart of the actions taken. In particular, an agreement was reached with Eurovia to recycle the sleepers and old ballast for use on other construction sites.
Thanks to the good maintenance of the trains by the equipment maintenance department, the availability rate was 93%. This is a first in France and will be quickly replicated.
