Franco-German synergy for the development of urban rail networks
The RATP sector of the ETF Île-de-France agency and AGT, our German subsidiary, signed a partnership agreement in August 2023. The aim is to make it easier for their teams to work together.
Driven by a common mission – to build and maintain urban rail networks – these two entities pool their resources and skills. During periods of reduced activity, ETF’s RATP teams lend a hand to their German colleagues. As a result, AGT is able to respond to more tenders thanks to the occasional reinforcement of their French colleagues.
This is a fine example of optimising resources to enhance ETF’s overall performance.
This partnership resulted in an initial success at the end of 2023. Three employees from the Île-de-France agency travelled to Germany to support AGT on their largest projects:
- 480m of RVB at Güldenen Wingert
- 500m of RR on Tanneberger Straße
- Several one-off operations on the Darmstadt tram network.
During these two intensive weeks, the German and French teams had the opportunity to meet, discuss working methods, pool their expertise and share moments of conviviality. The feedback was unanimous: the experience was extremely positive. It underlines the importance of moving forward together.
This fine example of Franco-German synergy will continue and be strengthened over the coming years!
