New Line Phase 3C to open soon in Cairo
After a year of intense work, spanning from January to December 2023, ETF Egypt (agent), in collaboration with TSO and Orascom, has completed the construction of Line 3 Phase 3C in Cairo.
This strategic link now connects the heart of the city to the south-west, as far as the entrance to the village of Giza, providing a crucial connection to metro line 2 at this point. From 1 May, 21 million residents will be able to use this new line, marking a major turning point in accessibility and mobility in the Cairo metropolitan area.
At the height of the project, 150 people were mobilised to work on the complex construction of this facility.
THE PROJECT IN SOME FIGURES :
- 4 km of tunnels,
- 2 km of viaducts,
- 1 km of track
In recognition of the operational excellence demonstrated throughout the project, the NAT (National Tunnel Authority) awarded a certificate of merit to the Project Director and presented the teams with a trophy in recognition of their commitment.
