THG, the German subsidiary of ETF, celebrated the inauguration of its new warehouse on 10 October 2024 in the presence of Robert Bello, Deputy Managing Director of VINCI Construction in charge of road and network trades for local networks in mainland France, Philippe Chavent, Managing Director in charge of the Networks France division, Fabrice Guégan, President of ETF and Rainer Klinkhammer, founding director of THG. This ceremony marks an important milestone for the agency, whose facilities dated from 1996. From now on, this extension will offer more space, a more modern look and a reduced carbon footprint.

Designed to meet current challenges, the building is a storage hall that can accommodate the growth of the business while providing secure storage space. This project is fully in line with ETF’s environmental commitments and demonstrates the VINCI Group’s commitment to innovation in terms of energy performance.

On the hall’s 817 m² of roofing, 418 photovoltaic panels have been installed, generating a power output of 170 kW. Their annual production of 250 MWh will fully offset the site’s energy consumption, while feeding energy back into the local grid, with an estimated saving of 80 tonnes of CO2 per year. In addition, a rainwater recovery system feeds a fire safety pond that protects our site as well as the adjacent establishment. This resource management represents a significant step towards more autonomous, more sustainable premises that are better suited to future needs.
