New maintenance contract in Chile

The consortium comprising ETF (a subsidiary of Eurovia, VINCI) as lead contractor and Colas Rail (a subsidiary of Colas, BOUYGUES) has been awarded a seven-year contract for track maintenance on the Santiago de Chile metro system. The contract covers preventive and corrective maintenance, as well as ‘special corrective measures’ for the pneumatic tracks on lines 1, 2 and 5 and the rail tracks on lines 4 and 4A, including complete grinding of the latter two. The five existing lines cover a total length of 103 kilometres. This project strengthens ETF’s presence in Chile, where it is already working as part of a consortium on the design, construction and 20-year maintenance of two new metro lines, 3 and 6, which will add an additional 37 km from 2017 and 2018.
