DUO Day 2024: A day of exchange and inclusion

Stéphanie Benbalit, administrative assistant at the Maintenance Matériel agency, spent the day with Lise. The exchange of views was a source of mutual inspiration.
‘It’s always very rewarding to listen to people from different backgrounds. Duo Days give us the chance to talk to people who are incredibly spontaneous, which helps us to take a step back from our everyday lives.’
Stéphanie was also able to play a key role in advising Lise on her job search, an interaction that made her feel useful and connected to other people’s issues.

Ibrahim El Idrissi, a train driver at Feroway, shared his daily life with Ahdy, a train enthusiast.
‘Seeing my job through his eyes, filled with curiosity and wonder, made me rediscover the beauty of what I do every day.’
The pair also exchanged symbolic souvenirs: a walking sheet for Ahdy and a drawing offered to Ibrahim, illustrating the strong bond forged over the course of the day.

Jean-Marc Faivre, Branch Manager for Sud-Est and La Champenoise, welcomed Kenaya, a schoolboy who was keen to find out more about the railway industry. It was a particularly moving moment, especially when he saw a Rail Route shovel for the first time in the Saint-Priest depot.
‘Being able to explain our businesses in simple, accessible terms to a 13-year-old was a great experience. Maybe we’ve awakened a future vocation!’
