The railway line, star of the Poupet festival

In Saint-Malô-du-Bois, in 2022, Father Christmas and his elves didn’t arrive by sleigh, but by train! From 12 to 16 December, our teams took part in the festive magic by building a temporary railway track for the Poupet Festival./em>

A CONSTRUCTION SITE LIKE NO OTHER

To end the year on a high note, the ETF Atlantique agency was awarded one of the most original projects ever undertaken. In the heart of the Vendée region, far from the national rail network, our teams worked alongside the organisers of the Poupet Festival to study, design and install 200 metres of track. A real attraction, it allowed visitors to rediscover how a steam engine works and take them on a journey back in time.

This road project brought together no fewer than 10 operational staff. They first pre-assembled the track panels and then installed them using excavators, after the road had been completely closed.

CELEBRATE… YES! BUT SAFELY.

In addition to laying the tracks, ETF was on hand throughout the two days of the festival to ensure the safety of passengers and visitors in the vicinity. Every morning, a safety inspection and geometric survey were carried out to check the condition of the track before it was opened to traffic. If any defects were found, our teams were on hand to correct them.

Thanks to its network of regional agencies and its multi-disciplinary expertise, ETF is able to respond closely to its customers’ needs and get involved in community projects such as the Poupet festival. Doing useful work and having a positive impact in the regions where we operate are strong commitments for the VINCI group, ETF, and each of our employees.
