Modernisation of tracks on line 161000 between Sarreguemines and Kalhausen
ETF’s RFN Grand Est Agency has just successfully completed the track modernisation project on line 161000, connecting Sarreguemines to Kalhausen. This work has increased train speeds from 60 to 100 km/h.
On average, a team of 30 employees, reinforced by staff from our teams in Lens and Champenoise during peak periods, worked on this project. In total, more than 1,500 hours were devoted to social integration initiatives.
The programme for this 20 km stretch of track included: 3 km of ballast replacement, 2.5 km of sleeper replacement, and 14 km of rail replacement.
The synergy of the VINCI Construction Group was key to the success of our project:
- FEROWAY provided ALAM services, a self-propelled lorry agent, ensuring the safe movement of rail-road excavators on our site.
- ETF Travaux Mécanisés provided a high-performance 108-475S FRAMAFER tamping machine.
- ETF Agence Atlantique supplied the 30 wagons required for the project.
- ETF SDZR contributed with EX100 automatic wagons.
- TERELIAN was in charge of earthworks for the RVB section of the Kalhausen platforms.
Thank you to the teams at Agence Grand Est and all the ETF teams involved in this exceptional project!
We would also like to acknowledge the participation of our subcontractors, FERRO-TECH for their work on the RB/RT & RR, and CTSF for their traction and support services for the work trains.
And, of course, we would like to thank the SNCF team at INFRALOG LORRAINE, who were a trusted partner and a real support in managing the project management of this project!
