ETF clears 10 km of track between Fréjus and Monaco

For nearly four years, ETF has been carrying out a MOSO contract for SNCF Réseau in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region. This contract was renewed in 2022 for another three years and begins with the renewal of 10 km of rail on 100 km of track between the Fréjus and Monaco stations.

The first phase of this project was completed on 18 February 2022 with the successful unloading of all the rails in the 28 areas to be renewed. Around 20 operational staff were mobilised over 10 nights to carry out these operations.

The replacement of the rails could then begin. The operational teams are returning to each area to remove the used rails, install the new ones and then release the constraints.

To carry out this project, SNCF Réseau can count on the synergy of the ETF group. The South-East agency is carrying out the track work thanks to its Marseille (agent), mechanised works and welding divisions. Feroway, ETF’s railway safety brand, is carrying out the pole-mounted and autonomous driving operations.
