Material investments for staff prevention
Customised equipment in action on the Line 14 South extension project (GrandParis). ETF teams have invested in two tunnel excavators and two Multi-Service Vehicles (MSVs). This new, more modern equipment improves safety for the men and women working on the track and boosts productivity for our client, RATP.
This project, which is 100% tunnel-based, represents a real logistical challenge in terms of both the working environment and supplies (seven shafts distributed along the route). The equipment investments enable the teams to move around and work more easily in this narrow tunnel while significantly reducing certain risks, such as handling, falls, pedestrian safety and visibility in the tunnel.
ETF (lead contractor), in partnership with Colas Rail, is constructing 13.4 km of double track to enable line 14 to connect to Orly Airport. Thanks to the mobilisation of the teams and the equipment deployed, the project is on schedule.
