In Île-de-France, the T10 tracks welcome the first trains
As part of the Grand Paris Express project, ETF carried out railway works on the T10 tram line for Île-de-France Mobilités and the Hauts-de-Seine department. The line will connect the towns of Clamart and Antony and contribute to the development of the Île-de-France transport network.
In November 2019, ETF teams laid the first rails of the future T10 line! After three years of studies and construction work, this project is now complete and the first test trains are already running. The objectives of these dynamic tests are:
- to check the gauges,
- ensure that the railway signalling system is working properly,
- validate that the trains are operating correctly in conjunction with the railway infrastructure.
To carry out this project, our clients were able to rely on a 100% VINCI Construction consortium in France, with ETF teams for the track and catenary work and Eurovia IDF/Watelet TP teams for the civil engineering work. A total of 16 km of track was laid, comprising 1,600 rails measuring 18 metres in length and more than 40,000 sleepers! See you for the next stage, the ‘dry run’, the final rehearsal before the line is commissioned and enters commercial operation.
