VINCI Construction After-Work Event: A deep dive into the world of the rail industry
On 26 May 2026, VINCI Construction’s France Network welcomed a large number of students to an after-work event held at Leonard, the group’s centre for innovation and forward thinking, located in the 12th arrondissement of Paris. Designed as a key opportunity for discovery, the event attracted 250 young people keen to learn more about careers in civil engineering within the rail sector.
Meaningful dialogue with those working on the ground
Throughout the evening, attendees had the opportunity to talk to a number of ETF specialists and gain an insight into the reality of the professions that keep the rail infrastructure running. The aim of the event was to raise awareness of a sector that is key to the future of mobility and to convey the passion of those who work in it on a daily basis.
Thanks to a dynamic and interactive format, the students were able to:
- Talk directly to professionals from a variety of backgrounds,
- Take part in an immersive programme showcasing ETF’s areas of expertise,
- Discover the wide range of career opportunities on offer, from work placements to the Graduate Programme, including work-study schemes.
A powerful tool for identifying talent
With an audience ranging from A-level to Master’s degree level, this after-work event provided a unique opportunity to meet the next generation of talent in the rail sector. The ETF teams were thus able to talk to motivated candidates, collect numerous CVs and spark the interest of young people wishing to pursue a career in civil engineering and transport infrastructure.
