The winning catenary teams at the VINCI Construction Prevention Challenge
ETF stood out as one of the top performers in the safety category of the VINCI Construction Prevention Challenge, with both of its overhead line branches winning awards. This recognition was in honour of particularly strong results over the last three years, with an injury frequency rate (IFR1) among the best in the group. Above all, it highlights a collective commitment to a shared goal: making prevention a daily priority.
The winning catenary teams at the VINCI Construction Prevention Challenge
This success is based on a shared commitment at all levels of the organisation, from the front line through to support functions and management.
A positive momentum has taken hold, underpinned by clear, regular and transparent communication regarding accidents and incidents. The increase in the number of reports of hazardous situations reflects a shift in practices towards greater foresight and accountability.
Following each report, feedback is systematically provided to staff. These discussions have helped to recognise their commitment, boost their confidence and facilitate open dialogue on safety issues.
Digital tools for prevention
As part of a continuous improvement process, the catenary agencies have introduced digital tools for inspections and field reports. These systems have simplified reporting procedures, enabled a faster response to high-risk situations and ensured precise management of corrective actions.
A stronger presence on the ground
The exemplary behaviour of supervisors and the increase in site visits have strengthened direct communication with operational teams. This close contact has fostered a better understanding of working conditions, enabled risks to be identified more quickly, and ensured that good safety practices are firmly established.
The teams have also set up a continuous monitoring system for business challenges and security issues. This day-to-day vigilance helps to better identify risks specific to their activities, to continually adapt preventative measures and to anticipate developments on the ground.
All of these initiatives, which are long-term in nature and driven by collective commitment, have established ETF’s catenary agencies as leaders in the Prevention Challenge. This achievement reflects a firmly established corporate culture in which safety is a core value, championed and embodied on a daily basis by all staff members.
