A consortium comprising 100% Eurovia companies, including La Champenoise TP & VF (lead contractor), ETF Sud-Est, ETF Luxembourg, ETF Services and ETF Sud-Ouest, has launched its Vigirail campaign with a major project at Lyon Perrache station (69). For the record, Vigirail is a programme launched by SNCF Réseau and SNCF to strengthen surveillance, modernise maintenance and accelerate the replacement of points on their railway installations. This large-scale project, which requires particularly sophisticated working techniques, marks the launch of the 2017 Vigirail campaign, which plans to carry out 15 basic projects and replace more than 100 pieces of track equipment. The pre-assembly of the points was carried out at the end of 2016 over a period of more than two months. The work now consists of renewing 34 sets of points and nearly 1,200 metres of track at Lyon-Perrache station. This first part of the project must be delivered on 3 March in order to switch to the other half of the beam and thus meet the delivery date of 7 April 2017. Partially closed since 30 January 2017, Lyon-Perrache station will be back in service without interruption from 8 April 2017. To complete this project on schedule, teams are working around the clock, bringing together more than 50 employees specialising in different but complementary areas of expertise.
